Multiple Exhumations

Cherub Statue

Making funeral arrangements for a loved one is one of life’s most stressful experiences.

Sometimes decisions are made ‘in the moment’ and only later do the practicalities of the arrangements become apparent.

Family owned graves in Britain can be purchased for one, two, three or even four interments.

However, planning for the future may be the last thought in mind when purchasing a burial plot and may even seem inappropriate or disrespectful.

Rowland Brothers can arrange exhumation and re-interment at a lower depth in the same grave plot, thus extending plots originally intended for one interment and allowing for future burials without the need to purchase a new lease.

Experienced in Multiple Exhumation Services

Rowland Brothers are experienced in delivering multiple exhumations, and can provide you with full assistance when considering and arranging the exhumation of multiple individuals.

You may require a multiple exhumation for many reasons, including:

  • Extending a grave to accommodate the burial of other family members
  • Exhuming complete families so that they can be buried elsewhere, either in the UK or abroad.

We always work closely with church, cemetery and local authorities to ensure arrangements are completed successfully. As well as this, Rowland Brothers Exhumations follow established health and safety policies to minimise risk.

We are fully compliant with public liability requirements, with £10 million public liability insurance.

If you are considering multiple exhumation and would like further information, get in touch with us or fill out our contact form to request more details. We aim to get back to you, as soon as possible.
